During their current string of US dates, Mount Kimbie dropped in to Santa Monica’s KCRW for a live studio session on ‘Morning Becomes Eclectic’. The session included a performance of their new track ‘Marilyn’.

Mount Kimbie announce EU tour, debut new single ‘Marilyn’

Following on from last month’s ‘We Go Home Together’ (feat. James Blake), Mount Kimbie have released another new track. ‘Marilyn’ features guest vocals from Mica Levi aka Micachu, and a music video by cult photographer Mark Lebon.

 

The band have also announced a 26 date European tour, running across October and November. See dates below:

Mount Kimbie release ‘We Go Home Together’ featuring James Blake

Mount Kimbie have released their first single since their 2013 album Cold Spring Fault Less Youth. ‘We Go Home Together’ is out now on Warp Records, featuring long-time collaborator and old bandmate James Blake on vocals.

Mount Kimbie teamed up with Desperados in Warsaw to create Train Trax, a one-off musical performance which saw the duo turn a train into a ‘giant moving instrument’. Mount Kimbie’s Kai Campos said:

‘“[Desperados] were looking for an act who could be free in their performance, and we were up for the challenge — especially playing in such a confined space and combining the audio triggers with our music.”
